This is how it looked when we moved in I was talking to the building inspector.

If you notice now there is a partial wall at the 
top and a door that opens to reveal the hot water tank.  What once was an eye sore is now hidden safely.

This is what it looks like closed as you can see it 
looks a lot better then A.

This is what the kitchen Ceiling looked like when we moved in. This actually had a 1"X12"X10' piece of pine nailed over it.
